Chris A. Persefield

Chris Allen Persefield, 64, died at 9:16 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2019 at home. Chris was born June 30, 1955 in Peoria.  Chris is survived by two daughters, Amy (Randy) Barger of Bartonville and Savannah Persefield of Galesburg; two granddaughters, Katherine and Kylee Darling; his step-mother, Ila Persefield of Brimfield;  Sister Ethel Mae (Andy) Montgomery-Persefield; and a niece, Jessica L. Persefield.  Chris was preceded in death by his father Ivan Persefield and his mother, Bonnie Carpenter Maltsburger. Chris served in the US Army from November 28, 1975 to December 20, 1990.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  Chris was also quite a craftsman and enjoyed woodworking.  He loved all kids and his cats. Cremation rites have been accorded.  Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.  Burial of cremated remains and military rites will be conducted at Brimfield Cemetery, Brimfield, following services.  Memorials may be made to the Patriot Guard or the Peoria Honor Flight.
