Robert Butch J. White

Robert J. “Butch” White, Jr., 62, of Gilson, died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Maquon. Butch was born October 3, 1952 in Monmouth, the son of Robert Jennings and Virginia Louise Pierce White, Sr.  He is survived by his father, Robert of Galesburg and a sister, Laurel Nielson of Apache Junction, AZ.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia White on August 16, 2012. He worked as a self employed knife maker and gunsmith. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made in Butch’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
