Agnes K. Trego

Agnes Kathryn Trego, age 84, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Roseville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Roseville, Illinois. She was born on April 16, 1927 in Eubank, Kentucky, the daughter of Luther & Verlie (Osborne) Griffin. She was reared and educated in Kentucky and Illinois. Agnes married Herbert Conard Trego in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2010. Agnes was of the Christian faith. In her younger years Agnes was employed at the General Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator and also the Formfit Company. Agnes loved country music. She was a delicious cook. She loved to dance and when she was younger she loved going to square dances. Her main interests were her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her three sons Michael Sage (Kay), Greg Sage, Kevin Trego (Lisa) all of Monmouth and one daughter Lori Pearson (Steve) also of Monmouth. Also, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren She is also survived by one sister Phyllis Tatman (Don) of Monmouth, Illinois and three nieces and one nephew. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, grandparents and one brother Arnold Griffin. Services:A Private Family Grave Side Service will be held at the Warren County Memorial Park on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. There is no visitation hours planned. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial fund has been established for Roseville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Roseville, Illinois.
