Alan D. Smith

Alan D. Smith, age 60, of Biggsville, Illinois, passed away at 12:30 AM on Tuesday, April 12, 216 at Roseville Nursing and Rehab in Roseville, Illinois. He was born on September 16, 1955 in Monmouth, IL, the son of James E. and Vallie H. (Ravenscraft) Smith. He was educated in the Biggsville area and attended Union High School. Alan was a veteran, serving with the United States Navy. He worked for Chattahoochee Consulting Group as a construction inspector. He loved to play pool, go fishing, and study history. Alan is survived by his parents, two sisters; Brenda (Keith) Jones of Hoschton, GA and Teresa (Kelvin) Echols of Orlando, FL, one brother; Lyle (Carol) Smith of Hedrick, IA, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley. Service No services are currently planned. Cremation is being accorded. A gathering will be planned and announced at a later date.
