Alice L. Allaman

Alice L. Allaman, age 81, of Rozetta, Illinois, passed away at 9:30 AM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born on September 13, 1935 in Burlington,Iowa; the daughter of Howard R. and Bernice W. (Killey) Livingston. Alice attended grade school at Muddy Corners. She then graduated from Monmouth High School with the Class of 1953, and attended Northwestern University in Chicago studying nursing for a time. On September 9, 1956, she married Charles A. Allaman at the Methodist Church in Monmouth. Alice was an active member of the Rozetta Baptist Church where she served as it's clerk for a number of years. She also was member of Chapter LE of PEO, was a member of the Henderson County Home Extension, and was an active volunteer with the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Monmouth, Illinois. Alice loved to create needlework and always did handwork for her family and friends. Alice is survived by her husband, Charles, four sons; Bill (Mary) Allaman, Tim (Kim) Allaman, Dan (Wendy) Allaman all of Rozetta, IL, and Ken (Lori) Allaman of West Burlington, IA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Jordan (Heather), Jacob, Justin, Katy, Hannah, Rachael, and Ali Allaman, and Danielle (Ryan) Harley. There are two sisters that survive; Lorraine (Bruce) Green of South Elgin, IL and Jeannie (Warren) Sanders of Loudon, TN. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Alice is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation Her family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Church. Funeral Service A funeral service is planned for 10:30 AM on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Rozetta Baptist Church in Rozetta, IL. Interment will follow the service at Rozetta Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established for Rozetta Baptist Church.
