Allen E. Bowling

Allen Edward Bowling, age 28 of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 6:45 pm at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth. He was born on October 31, 1986 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Harlan E. and Peggy (Giddings) Bowling. Allen attended school here in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth/Roseville High School with the Class of 2006. Allen was best known for his positive attitude. He was proud to be a uncle to his niece and nephew and loved to shower them with his thrifty purchases. Allen was well know for his love of making nachos. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Allen is survived by his mother, Peggy Bowling of Monmouth; grandmother, Martha Lovell of Monmouth; one brother, Dustin (Kaci) Bowling of Monmouth; Niece Kaylinn Bowling; nephew Johnathan Bowling; Aunts, Dawn Stevens, Marsha (Gene) Dunn, and Paula (Tim) Larson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alan and Helen Bowling and Marshall L. Gittings; father, Harlan and his aunt, Karen. Services:A memorial service is planned for 10:30 am on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. His family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth. Cremation is being accorded. A memorial fund is being established for his family.
