Amber C. " Booda" Dean

Amber C. "Booda"  Dean, age 35, passed away as the result of a traffic accident on Saturday October 31, 2020 at 9:02. Amber was born on January 30, 1985 in Des Moines, Iowa and is the daughter of Margaret J. Martin and Charles M. Dean. "Booda" was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and graduated from Monmouth High School in 2003. Amber was previously married to Byron Hastings. Booda did yard care and mowed lawns for friends and family, locally. She enjoyed baby sitting and being around children. She loved the out of doors and going fishing. She most loved her family and going to family gathering.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret J. Martin of Monmouth, Illinois and her step father, Jake Shughart of Monmouth. One daughter survives, Chloe Hastings at home in Galesburg, and two sons, Riley Dean of Monmouth, and Entaose Rollands in Iowa.  Her sister, Shasta Dean of Monmouth, IL; and three brothers, Charles Dean, Jr.of Iowa, Markell Martin of Galesburg, IL; and Christopher Martin of Monmouth, IL all survive her. There are also a number of aunts, uncles nieces, and nephews and cousins surviving. Booda is preceded in her death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation is being accorded "Booda" and a gathering " Celebration of Her Life"  is going to happen on Sunday November 8, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at 832 South 4th Street in Monmouth. She is entrusted to Turnbull Funeral Home who is in charge of her care. A memorial fund is being established by her family.
