Angela D. 'Angie' Hollis

Angela D. "Angie" Hollis, age 55, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 3:15 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at her residence in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born on May 26, 1962 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Donald Orville and Betty Louise (McCoy) Thorndike. Angie attended Aledo High School and later obtained her C.N.A. license. She married Owen Hollis. Angie worked as a C.N.A. at Monmouth Hospital and Pinewood Health Care Center. She also worked many years at Western Stoneware until its closing and she lastly at Wells Pet Foods, both in Monmouth. Angie loved the outdoors; fishing, camping, and mushroom hunting. She also enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel and her "chick flicks". Most of all, she loved her grandchildren. Angie is survived by one daughter, Beth (Cory) Burgland of Little York, IL, one son, Donnie (Rianna Scott) Feik of Colona, IL, husband Owen Hollis. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Isaiah, Payton, and Taylor Feik. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and parents and one grandson, Gage Feik. Visitation Her family will be present for a visitation on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Funeral Service A funeral service is planned for 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be at Warren County Memorial Park. A memorial fund is being established for an educational fund for Angie's grandchildren.
