Ann M. Mitchell

Ann M. Mitchell, age 87, formerly of Cameron, Ill., died 1:25 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg. Ann was born on April 5, 1922 in Kentucky, the daughter of Regis L. and Bertie J. Miller Lefort. On April 23, 1940 Ann married Arthur G. Mitchell in Monmouth. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1999. Ann was a homemaker in her own home. She was a farmer with her husband farming the Mitchell family farm. Surviving Ann are two sons, Larry L. (Jane) Mitchell of Cameron and Tracy (Jackie) Mtichell of Cameron, six grandchildren and nine great grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters Joan Ryner and Bob of Monmouth, Illinois and Marjorie (Rick) Merillat in Atlanta, Georgia. Two brothers survive Alfred (Mary) Lefort of Monmouth, Illinois and Raymond Lefort in Florida. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and seven brothers and sisters. Services:Cremation is being accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth on Wednesday January 6, 2010 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Ashes will be interred by her family at a later date.
