Anna Mae Graber, age 85, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at Galesburg Cottage Hospital at 12:45 pm on Wednesday, January 6. 2016. Anna Mae was born on April 6, 1930 near Memphis, MO in Scotland County. She is the daughter of Alma Lenora (Pinnell) and Edgar Orin McGee. She was raised and educated in many places, mainly Missouri and Illinois, and a few years as a teenager in Tucson, AZ with her parents. Her brothers were in the service during WWII and she missed them so much. She was the youngest of seven children and her family moved several times when she was growing us so her father could find work and she attended a lot of different schools. In her early adult years, she worked at restaurants in Memphis, MO, including Keith's Cafe, as a waitress. While in Memphis, Anna Mae met Wayne Graber and they were married on November 2, 1950 in Memphis, MO. Wayne preceded her in death on September 11, 2013. They spent most of their married life in Monmouth, IL. She was a good wife, mother, and grandmother. Family meant the world to her. She spent many days and nights sitting on bleachers at school events! She attended Heritage United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed the quilting circle when she was able to attend. Anna Mae was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team. Anna Mae is survived by one son, Stephen W. (Jean) Graber of Tinley Park, IL, two daughters, Pamela A. (Randy) Biddle of Little York, IL and Tina M. Liroff of Dallas, TX, eight grandchildren, Matt (Yvette), Josh, Mark, Lindsay, Melissa (Michael), Brandon (Tiffany), Nic, and Zach, and seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Max, Ethan, Skylie, Lukas, Brenlee, and Orion. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, brothers, Eugene, Richard, Edgar, Wayne, and sisters, Lavon and Ethel. Visitation Her family plans a visitation from 2:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Funeral Service A graveside service is planned for 1:30 pm on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Memphis Cemetery in Memphis, MO. A memorial fund is being established for the Heritage United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth.
