Anne E. Millar

Anne E. Millar, age 57, of Rozetta, Illinois, passed away at 12:47 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born on December 13, 1950, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Robert L. and Charlotte Clayton Gunderson. Anne was reared and educated in Washington, Illinois, graduating from Washington Community High School in 1968. She then attended Liberty Beauty College in Peoria, Illinois Anne married R. Richard Millar on June 21, 1969 in Washington, Illinois and he survives. Anne was a homemaker in her own home. Anne's first love was her grandchildren and family. She loved to travel. Anne was past president of the Warren County Republican Women and a member of the Henderson County Home Extension. She was raised in the Presbyterian Faith. Anne fought a very courageous battle with leukemia. Surviving are her husband R. Richard Millar of Rozetta, one daughter Kristi Ann Hippen and Jarrod of West Jersey, Illinois, and two grandchildren Elizabeth Anne Hippen and Troy Stuart Hippen of West Jersey, her mother Charlotte Jacocks of Peoria, one sister Susie Reese and Sid of Lakeland, Florida and one brother Robert C. Gunderson and Joan of Peoria and several nieces and a nephew. Preceding her in death is her father. Services:A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be in the Rozetta Cemetery in Rozetta, Illinois. Her family will receive friends from Noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Turnbull Funeral Home. A memorial fund is being established for Monmouth College.
