Antonio H. Perez, age 77, of Monmouth, Ill., passed away March 19,2010, at Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth. He was born May 31,1932 in Refugio, Tx., the son of Francisco and Maria Hernandez Perez. He was reared and educated in Corpus Christi, Tx. Antonio worked as a farm hand for many years. He also worked for a time as a carpenter and handyman. Antonio was a spirited man with a great sense of humor and loved to play the guitar for his family and friends. He also enjoyed western movies and traveling. Antonio is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martina Perez, five daughters, Carmen (Wayne) Pierce, Lydia (Dean) Dudley, Terry (Mike) Lind all of Monmouth, Tamie Perez of Galesburg, Ill., Rosalinda (Danny) Zachmeyer and 4 sons, Tony Jr. (Barb) Perez. Ricardo (Kit) Perez, Steve (Gloria) Perez and Alejandro (Angie) Perez. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and two brothers, Gilbert Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Juan Perez in Kansas City, Missouri. Services:A funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. His family will be present from 2:00 p.m. till the time of the service at Turnbulls. Cremation will be accorded following the service. A memorial fund is being established.
