Arnold E. Stonebeck

Arnold E. Stonebeck, age 90, of Oquawka, passed away at 4:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth. Arnold was born on June 20, 1918 in Gladstone, Illinois. He is the son of Peter and Hilma Lindburg Stonebeck. Arnold was reared and educated in the Stronghurst area, and graduated from Stronghurst High School. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. Arnold worked for many years as a carpenter at the "Dutch" Cisna lumber yard in Gladstone. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 123 in Oquawka. Surviving Arnold is one niece, Carolyn S. Witty of Adrian, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his Parents, one sister, Martha Spears, one brother, Harold Stonebeck, one niece, Linda Stonebeck, and one nephew, Kenneth Spears. Services:Cremation will be accorded, and no service is being planned.
