Audrey W Weissinger

Audrey White Weissinger, age 92, of Kirkwood, Illinois; passed away at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois on Tuesday January 21, 2014. Audrey was born on October 18, 1921 in Raritan, Illinois and is the daughter of Henry A. and Pearl McLean White. She was raised in Biggsville and attended it's public schools and high school. She then attended the Woodward Business College in Burlington, Iowa. She was married to Warren Weissinger and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2000. Audrey was employed by the General Telephone Company and retired from it in California in 1983. She is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood, Illinois, the Warren County DAR, the Kirkwood Senior Citizens group, the Classy Red Hatters, and was in Rosie the Riveter. Audrey was survived by on daughter, Linda Brown of Rancho Palos Verdes, California and three granddaughters, Lynn Brown of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Sue Brown of Denver, CO.; and Anne Brown of Denver, CO. There are two great grandchildren, Bella and Margaux of Gerrard, CA., one step son Darrell Weissinger of Youngsville, PA, her sister in law Genevieve Murray of Burlington, IA and eight nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Warren, five brothers, three sisters, and on step son. Services:A funeral service will be at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois on Saturday January 25, 2014 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Center Grove Cemetery in Kirkwood, Illinois. Memorials are established for "Smile Train"
