Austin M. Rheiner, Jr.

Anthony Michael Rheiner, Jr. 77, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died at 11:40 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2025 at Allure of Lake Storey, Galesburg.

Anthony was born in Chicago, on May 5, 1948, the son of Austin Michael Rheiner, Sr. and Helen Virginia (nee Jarvis). He graduated from St. Mel High School in Chicago and enlisted in the US Army on December 7, 1968. While in the Army he served eleven months with the USARV in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on August 24, 1969.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. The funeral procession will convene at 23 Prospect Dr., Moline, IL 61265 at 12:45 p.m. for procession to the cemetery.
