Benjamin W. 'Benny' Livingston

Benjamin W. "Benny" Livingston, age 74, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at 10:12 pm on Thursday October 13, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Benny was born on July 20, 1943 in Monmouth, and is the son of John A and Rosalie Hathaway Livingston. He was raised in Monmouth where he attended local schools and Monmouth High School. Ben married Linda L. Sage on August 10, 1968 in Monmouth, Illinois and she is surviving. Benny began work with his aunt and uncle operating their oil truck here in Monmouth. He then was employed by Lou Pavlic at the Italian Village doing various work for some nine years. Lastly Benny work for the City of Monmouth Street Department on the garbage collection truck for many years and until his retirement. Ben loved fishing and helping his brother as his family was his main interest. He is survived by his wife, Linda Livingston of Monmouth, Illinois and his son, John Livingston, both of Monmouth, Illinois. There are four grandchildren, Katy, Lora, Charley, and Jake. One sister survives, Mary Livingston of Joplin, MO and two brothers, Larry (Nancy) Livingston of Monmouth, IL and Frank Livingston of Ocala, FL. as well as a number of other relatives. He is preceded in his death by his parents, two infant brothers, and another brother, Jack. Funeral Service A funeral service is planned at 11:00 am on Thursday October 19th at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, IL. Interment will be in the Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation His family plans to receive friends at visitation on Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service. Memorial Fund A memorial fund is being established for Western Illinois Animal Rescue.
