Betty Lucille Creamer

Betty Lucille Creamer, age 87, of Monmouth, Illinois, formerly of Peoria, Illinois, passed away at 4:57 P.M. on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at her residence in Monmouth. She was born on February 17, 1931 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of Ira and Viola (Cook) Sulteen. At the age of 11, her family moved to Peoria, Illinois and she remained there until returning to Monmouth in 1998. On July 4, 1953, Betty married Clarence R. Creamer, Sr. in Peoria, Illinois and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1986. Betty worked at International Paper in Peoria, Illinois until her retirement in 1998. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Betty is survived by one son, Clarence R. "Sonny" (Sonja) Creamer, Jr. of Peoria, Illinois, three grandsons, four granddaughters, six great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, one brother, Jack (Dixie) Sulteen of London Mills, Illinois, and one great-great nephew, Karama Schisler. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, three sisters, two brothers, and one grandson, Daniel Creamer. A graveside funeral service is planned for 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, Illinois. A visitation is planned for 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. A memorial fund is being established for the American Cancer Society.
