Betty M. Ingle

Betty M. Ingle, age 87, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 PM on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst, Illinois. She was born on July 5, 1929 in Neponset, Illinois, the daughter of Edward A. and Jeannette J. (Steelandt) Tillie. She attended Mineral High School. On March 27, 1948, Betty married Elder E. Ingle in Galesburg, Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2010. Betty worked for numerous dry cleaners in Galesburg, Monmouth, Clear Lake, IA and the Quad Cities. She was also a cook Fertile and Clear Lake, IA as well as the head cook in the Thornton, IA school district. She also worked at Winnebago Industries in Forest City, IA. Betty is survived by two daughters; Patricia (Bill Tobias) Quick of Oquawka, IL and Christine (David) Pypher of Grimsby, Ontario Canada, one son; Stanley (Maggie) Ingle of Aurora, CO, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, one grandson, one granddaughter, one brother at birth, and one sister. Memorial Service A graveside memorial service is planned for 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the Oquawka Cemetery. Cremation is be accorded.
