Betty M. Meyer

Betty Mae Meyer, age 85, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at home in Oquawka. She was born on January 11, 1928 in Morning Sun, Iowa, the daughter of Carl A. and Rosabelle L. Nichols Perterson. She was raised and educated in Burlington, Iowa and attended Horrace Mann High School. She married Earl J. Meyer on June 22, 1946. Betty was a farm wife and homemaker. She is remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother by all her family and friends. Betty loved to play cards with Grandma Joyce. She is survived by her son, Terry J. Meyer, her daughter, Penny M. Pullen, and grandchildren Jessica L. and Michael L. Pullen all of Oquawka. Also surviving are a number of nephews and other relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and ten brothers and sisters. Services:A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka Illinois. Her family has established a memorial fund for Hospice of the Henderson County Health Department.
