Betty Jean Wheatley

Betty Jean Wheatley, age 56, of Roseville, formerly of Biggsville, passed away at 10:52 a.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Roseville Nursing and Rehab in Roseville, Ill. She was born on January 28, 1955 in Monmouth, the daughter of Orville and Helen Oaks Rogers. She was reared and educated in Biggsville and graduated from Union High School in 1973. Betty earned her CNA certification in 1989. She worked at Walmart in Burlington for over 10 years. Betty also worked at Marigold Rehab and Health Care in Galesburg for a time. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Betty is survived by her children; Jodel Wheatley of Roseville, Tina Rogers of Greenbrier, Ak., Bill Rogers (Amy) of Monmouth, Herbie Wheatley (Barbie) of New Boston, Ill., Harold Wheatley (Candy) of New Boston, Ricky Wheatley of New Boston, and Ricky Wheatley of Lomax, Ill. Also surviving is one brother Jim Rogers (Peggy) of Biggsville, Ill., and her mother Helen Rogers of Roseville. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, and infant daughter Amron. Services:A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Biggsville, Ill. Interment will be in Biggsville Cemetery. Betty's family will be present to receive friends Saturday morning at the funeral home in Biggsville from 9:00 a.m. till the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established by her family and will be designated at a later date.
