Birdella " Della " Boughton

Birdella "Della" Boughton, age 96, of Biggsville and Oquawka, passed away at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst, on June 14, 2010 at 7:30 pm. "Della" was born on August 13, 1913 in Taylorsburg, Missouri and was the daughter of Horace and Cora Metcalf. She was raised in Taylorsburg and attended the area schools. She was married to Marion Boughton on October 11, 1969 in Burlington, Iowa who preceded her in death on December 16, 1979. Birdella was a homemaker and also was employed for a time at the Shirt Factory in Missouri. Surviving Della are four step grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren. Services:Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday at the Oquawka Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established by her family. For more information please visit
