Carol J. Emery

Carol J. Emery, age 72, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 3:39 am on November 22, 2010 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. Carol was born September 22, 1938 in Canton, Illinois. She is the daughter of Parl W. and Louise E. Wheeler Andre. She was raised and educated in Canton, Illinois where she attended schools and High School. She was married Donald E. Emery on June 10, 1960 in Farmington, Illinois. He preceded her on May 17, 2010. Carol was a homemaker and most interested in her family and grandchildren. She, for a time, worked as assistant cook for the Nursing Center in Canton, Illinois. She is survived by her daughters Sheila Murphy and Crystal Emery, both of Monmouth, Illinois and two sons Robert E. Emery and Rodney A. (Angela) Emery, both of Monmouth, Illinois. There are three grandchildren Malinda, Kelly, Alexander and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Yvonne (Rod) Hamilton, Debbie Brawdy, and Kim Jarvis, all of Canton, IL; Pam Marquardt of Farmington, IL; and Charlene (Arvid) Carver of Alexis, IL. There is one brother Brad ( Kathy) Andre in Galesburg, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter, and one sister.

Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Saturday November 27, 2010 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery at Elmwood, Illinois. Her family plans to receive friends at visitation for the hour prior to the service on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A memorial fund is established for the benefit of her son Robert.
