Carol M (Lybarger) Cook

Carol M. Cook, age 80, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 9:19 am at Monmouth Nursing Home on Sunday February 25, 2024. Carol was born on August 22, 1943 and is the daughter of Louis Carrol and Maxine Norma Ross Lybarger. She attended Monmouth schools and Monmouth High School. Carol married David Clair Cook on July 8, 1960 in Decatur, Illinois and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2010. Carol loved to bowl and go bowling, play shuffleboard, traveling, and craft work. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Surviving her is her daughter, Stephanie Madhok of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and son, Shawn Cook and Josalynd of Richwood, Ohio. Three grandchildren survive, Alex Cook of New Waterford, Ohio, Saloni and Soren Madhok of Mendota Heights, Minnesota; and one Great Grandson Kole Cook of New Waterford, Ohio. Two sisters survive, JannyRobbins and Gary of Biggsville, Illinois and Judy Wall and Lloyd of Monmouth, Illinois. Three brothers survive Gary Lybarger and Connie, Donnie Lybarger and Robin, and Dave Lybarger and Rhonda, all of Monmouth, Illinois. There are numerous Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives surviving her. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, one sister Barbara and three brothers, Larry, Victor, and John Lybarger.
