Carrel T. Isenberg, age 68, of Kirkwood, Illinois; passed away at 12:30 pm on Sunday December 7, 2008 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. Carrel was born on July 11, 1940 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the son of Thomas Jeff and Frances L. Estes Isenberg. He was raised and educated in Monmouth and Roseville where he attended local schools and high school. He was previously married to Linda Lee Filberth on June 24, 1961. Carrel first worked with Wilbur Ricketts and the mobile mill. He later was a bulldozer operator for Harold Snyder Bulldozing and then for Bill Reitman. Carrel enjoyed constructing bird houses and offered them to friends and family. He was currently attempting to have them in all fifty states. More recently he has been limited due to his health, but enjoyed visiting with all his friends at the Kirkland Homes in Kirkwood. Surviving are three children, Debra Dillard (Kevin) of Monmouth, Illinois; and sons Terry and Tony Isenberg, both in Colorado. Three grandchildren also survive, Leigha, Caleb, and Mollie Dillard. Carrel's sister also survives, Lynn Isenberg Martin of Monmouth, Illinois. Carrel's parents precede him in death. Services:Cremation is to be accorded. No service, viewing, or visitation is planned at present. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
