Cheryl L. Heatherly

Cheryl L. Heatherly, age 52, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Monmouth, passed away at 11:45 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care in Galesburg, IL. She was born on July 17, 1963 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Leon and Louise (Thornton) Heatherly. Cheryl attended Monmouth High School and graduated with the Class of 1981. She was previously married to Adam K. Reading. Cheryl was a homemaker. She was known for her very gentle soul and loved her family greatly. Cheryl was a huge fan of Janet Jackson, a great trivia buff, and was fluent in the Spanish language. Cheryl is survived by four sisters; LuAnne (Ron) Grant of Nauvoo, IL, Leona (Robert) Luciano of Lanoka Harbour, NJ, Terri (Ken) St. George of Monmouth, IL, and Linda (Tom) Hawk also of Monmouth, IL, one daughter, Jessica (Matt) Reading of Macomb, IL, and two grandsons; Nathan and Peyton. Her special friend Ross Palmer of Peoria, IL also is surviving. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents and a number of aunts and uncles. Visitation Her family will be present to receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Memorial Service A memorial service is planned for 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Cremation is being accorded. A memorial fund is being established by her family.
