Cindy Kay Brant

Cindy Kay Brant, age 59 of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 9:45 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth. She was born on July 17, 1954 in Monmouth, the daughter of Irvin Eugene and Gladys Loretta Thomas Sage. Cindy attended Monmouth High School and later received her GED. Cindy was formerly married to Michael J. Brant. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aid. Cindy began work in home health care locally and was employed for a time at Monmouth Nursing Home. Lastly, she worked doing home care until the time of her death. Cindy loved her feline friends and loved going to the boat. She is survived by one son, Anthony (Kristen) Brant of Letts, Iowa, one daughter, Lisa (Dana Jr.) Pace of Abingdon, Illinois, two brothers, Richard (Linda) Sage of Aledo, IL and Alan (Melody) Sage of Rural MO, three sisters, Nancy Wheeler of Kirkwood, IL, Donna Becker of Monmouth, IL, and Linda Sage of Galesburg, IL. There are six grandchildren that also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one nephew. Services:A memorial service is planned for 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. A memorial is being established for the Warren County Relay for Life.
