Clair L. Jebb

Clair L. Jebb, age 70, of Monmouth, Ill., passed away at 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at his residence. Born on January 29, 1939, in Aledo, Ill., Clair was the son of William and Dorothy Stoner Jebb. Reared in the Aledo area, Clair attended Aledo schools and graduated from Joy High School in 1958. He served in the United States Army. Clair never married. His employment for many years was at Western Stoneware Co. in Monmouth. He drove a taxi cab for a time and later worked at Farmland as a security guard. Clair enjoyed ringing the Bell for the Salvation Army, and his animals, ducks, chickens and dogs. Surviving Clair is his sister, Susie Hickerson of Monmouth, two brothers, Richard (Margaret) Jebb of Largo, Florida and Gerald (Donna) Jebb of Avon, Ill. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and special great nephew, Jacob F. (Trina) Overend of Bartonville, Ill. He is preceded in death by his parents. Services:Cremation has been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Countryside Bible Church, rural Monmouth.
