Clara Mcvey

Clara G. McVey, age 75, of Biggsville, Illinois passed away on August 18, 2014 in Biggsville, Illinois. Clara was born on May 21, 1939 in Galesburg, Illinois and is the daughter of Charles J. and Lillian I. Long Pilcher. She was raised in Biggsville, Illinois where she attended local schools and the Biggsville High School. She was married to Donald McVey on June 8, 1957 in Biggsville, Illinois. Clara was a homemaker in her own home all of her life. She was employed briefly at Sylvania in Burlington, Iowa. Her biggest joy is taking care of her family and grandchildren. She has attended Faith Bible Church in Oquawka, Illinois She is survived by her husband Donald McVey of Biggsville, Illinois, two sons, Donald (Cynthia) McVey, Jr. of Oquawka, Illinois and Ronald (Teresa Scheitlin) McVey of Biggsville, Illinois. There are four granddaughters, Jessica (Jeremy) Stice of Winchester, IL; Amber McVey of Belleville,IL; Alyssa (Dillon) Vancil of Aberdeen, South Dakota; and Sarah McVey of Oquawka, Illinois and two grandsons, Caleb Bulen of Oquawka, IL David Joe McVey of Oquawka, IL. There is one great granddaughter and two great grandsons also surviving. A number of Nieces and Nephews and other relatives survive. She is preceded in her death by her parents and step father, and a brother. Services:As per her wishes, cremation has been accorded. A memorial service is planned at Faith Bible Church on Saturday August 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm by her family. No calling hours are planned. A fellowship dinner will follow the service. A memorial fund is being established.
