Connie (Lee) Ledbetter

Connie L. Ledbetter, age 70, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 4:44 pm on October 18, 2012 at OSF St. Mary's Medical Center in Galesburg. Connie was born November 21, 1941 in Monmouth and is the daughter of Maurice and Edna Doyle Lee. She was raised in rural Warren County where she attended Hale Center and Denny rural school. Connie graduated from Little York High School with the class of 1959. She married Fred Ledbetter on February 24, 1968 in Los Angeles, California and he passed away in March 1992. Connie started work at Formfit in Monmouth, until moving to California in 1964. While in California she was always employed in banking before returning to Monmouth in 1996, to care for her mother who passed away in 2005. She is a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth. She enjoyed good wit and humor and was good at keeping track of the entire family and there activities. Connie is survived by three brothers Donald (Donna) Lee and Lawrence (Doris) Lee, both of Monmouth, and Edward (Cathy) Lee of Little York, IL. There are four sisters, Barbara (Michael) Rascon of Huntington, MD; Edna Johnson and Martha (Merlin) Hart, both of Monmouth, IL; and Linda Libby of Galesburg, IL. She has twenty-five nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Robert and Charles; and sister in law Margaret and brother in law Dale. Services:A Mass of the Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Church on Tuesday October 23, 2012 at 10:00 am. A rosary will be recited on Monday evening at Turnbull Funeral Home at 5:00 pm. The family plans visitation with the family receiving friends following the Rosary service at 5:00. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Monmouth, IL. A memorial fund is being established for Immaculate Conception School.
