Curtis C. Wallace

Curtis C. Wallace, age 60, formerly of Monmouth, passed away at 7:42 pm on December 20, 2014 at his residence in Holiday, FL. Curtis was born on March 16, 1954 in Monmouth and is the son of James B. and Goldie I. Bailey Wallace. Curtis was raised in Monmouth and attended Monmouth Schools. He married Joy L.Gatlin on March 25, 1994 in Galesburg, Illinois. Curtis was employed in construction and worked for Townsend Contractors of Clearwater, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Joy L. Wallace of Holiday, FL; one son Joel Craig Wallace of New Port Richey, FL, and 2 grandchildren Ava and Aiden Wallace also of New Port Richey, FL. His brother Aaron (Joyce) Wallace of Monmouth, IL and sister Phyllis Brown of Kokomo, IN. also survive. There is a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in his death by his parents; five sisters, Geraldine Pulley, Shirley Mason, Sylvia Wallace, Sharon Wallace, and JoAnn Hunter, and four brothers, Charles, Tharen, Adrian, and Leon Wallace. Services:A funeral service will be at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth,IL on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 12:00 pm Noon. Cremation will then be accorded. His family plans visitation from 10:00 am to Noon prior to the service and will be present to receive friends at the Funeral Home. The family will designate a memorial at a later date.
