Dale E. Whiteside

Dale E. Whiteside, Sr., age 69, of Monmouth, Ill., passed at his residence at 10:27 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Dale was born on February 3, 1940, in Queen City, Missouri the son of William Pearl and Bessie Lehr Whiteside. His family moved to Stronghusrt in 1944. He attended Stronghurst and Roseville Schools. Dale first married Merle Jones. He later married Joyce Ash. Dale worked as a farm hand for a number of area farmers. Dale was known to have sold produce locally for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting and playing Lotto. Surviving Dale is his mother Bessie Whiteside of Monmouth, one sister Roberta and Richard Stone of Springfield, Ohio and three brothers Steve Whiteside of Oquawka, Illinois; Merle Whiteside of Roseville, Illinois; and William Whiteside Jr. and Rosemary of Smithshire, Illinois. one daughter Deborah Lynne Whiteside Talley and Brian Knapp of Cameron, one son Dale E. Whiteside, Jr. and Shelley of Pittsburg, Missouri,four grandchildren Erica L Talley, Chandler A. Talley, Braiden Whiteside, and Kaiden Knapp. Dale is preceded in death by his father, two brothers and two sisters. Services:A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 in the Monmouth Cemetery. No visitation is being planned by the family. A memoiral fund is being established for the welfare of his grandchildren.
