Daniel L. Scott

Daniel L. Scott, age 63, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at his residence on Friday June 14, 2013 at 12:10 am. Danny was born on April 24, 1950 and is the son of LaHoyt R. and Thelma E. Cress Scott. He was raised in Bevier, Missouri where he attended local schools and high school. He then attended Kirkwood Technical College in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Daniel served in the United State Army during Viet Nam. Daniel was a carpenter and Electrical Contractor by trade and did work between here and Texas for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing and was very good at accomplishing the tasks at hand. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. He is survived by his three brothers Ronald (Janis) Scott of West Burlington, Iowa; Randy Scott of Oquawka, Illinois; and Donald (Becky) Scott of Gladstone, Illinois. A number of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews are also surviving. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Laura Sue. Services:Cremation is being accorded and no service is currently being planned. His ashes will be taken to Missouri by his family. Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka is in charge of the local arrangements.
