Daryl D. "Dary" Stacker

Daryl D. "Dary" Stacker, age 65, of Cameron, Illinois; passed away at his Cameron residence on Wednesday September 22nd at 11:35 pm. Daryl was born February 23, 1945 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the son of Russell J and Lois M Wood Stacker. Daryl was raised and educated in the Cameron/Galesburg area and graduated from Warren High School in 1963. He was married to Sandra K. Harding on June 27, 1964 in Cameron, Illinois. "Dary" began farming with his father Russell in the Cameron area. He then became self employed as a trucker operating Stacker Trucking in the area for a number of years. He retired at the age of sixty-two and has helped since with "Mitchell Farms" and also has driven for "Berg's Towing", locally. In earlier years he enjoyed motorcycle racing, and more recently enjoys golf and hunting. He most enjoyed spending time in his shop at the residence. Surviving is his wife Sandra Stacker of Cameron, Illinois and his daughter, Debbie (David) Hartzell of Gerlaw, and son Rodney (Chillon) Stacker of Monmouth, Illinois. There are four grandchildren, Danielle and Hannah Hartzell, and Darren and Ryan Stacker. He is preceded in his death by his parents, one sister, and one brother. Services:Visitation for his friends and family will be from 10:00 am to Noon on Saturday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Cremation will then be accorded. His family then would invite friends to a fellowship at the Cameron Christian Church following visitation at the funeral home. A memorial fund will be established at a later date by his family.
