David E. Brill, Sr.

David E. Brill, Sr, age 66, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at 4:45 A.M. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Great River Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa. He was born on June 21, 1952 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Edward Oscar and Delores Florence (Colley) Brill. David attended schools in Monmouth, Biggsville, and Oquawka, graduating from Union High School in 1970. On February 14, 1986, he married Linda Hinshaw in Burlington, Iowa and she is surviving. David began work at Gale Product's in the production division. He then worked for many years at the Oquawka Elevator as a foreman. David lastly worked at Vista Bakery for 15 years until his retirement. He was an avid Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan. David enjoyed going to the casino and watching football with a cold Keystone. David is survived by his wife Linda N. Brill of Oquawka, IL, one daughter, Danielle (Henry) Brill of Oquawka, IL, four sons; David (Lisa) Brill, Jr. of Galesburg, IL, Clinton Brill of California, Jason (Wendy) Brill of Kansas City, KS, and Robert Brill of Burlington, IA, one sister, Stacey (Perry) Link, and one sister-in-law, Debbie Brill, one step-daughter, Kimberley (Jeff) Ward of Oquawka, IL, and one step-son, Jimmy (Donny) Bielser also of Oquawka, IL. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. David is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a number of other relatives. A graveside service is planned for 1:30 P.M. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka, Illinois. His family plans visitation from Noon until the time of service at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, IL.
