David Wayne Conard

David Wayne Conard, age 57, formerly of Cameron, Illinois; passed away at 11:50 pm on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois. David was born on July 16, 1961 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is the son of Wayne and Carol (Youngquist) Conard. David has been a special person all of his life and will be remembered for his smile, his notebook, and of course his pens. He loved people, long baths, music, and his love of hats and his collection of them. David loved Charlie's Angels and especially Kate Jackson and Jamie Summers of the Bionic Woman. He also enjoyed bowling and his time with the Special Olympics. David is survived by his sister, Diane Conard of Alvarado, Texas, his niece Abby Conard and great nephew, Zachary Conard, both in Millersburg, Ohio. His aunt, Wiladene Youngquist is also surviving in Cameron, Illinois and a number of cousins. His special friends, Steve and Amy "Sheppy" Birditt and Jim "Reb" and Pam Epperson all of Monmouth, also are surviving. David is preceded in his death by his grandparents and parents; his uncles, aunts, and a number of other relatives. A funeral service will be at Turnbull Funeral Home on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm where his family plans a visitation and will receive their friends for the hour prior to the service, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A private family interment will then be in Silent Home Cemetery in Cameron, Illinois. A memorial fund is being established by his family.
