David L. Foreman

David L. Foreman, age 77, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 12:36 P.M. on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at his residence in Monmouth. He was born on June 24, 1941 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Herbert and Lois (Wong) Foreman. David attended Monmouth High School, graduating with the Class of 1959. He then attended Illinois Central College, Illinois Valley Community College, Carl Sandburg College, and California State University, where he obtained various certifications in water and wastewater treatment. On June 4, 2012, he married Barbara Warren in Monmouth and she is surviving. David was previously married to Ann Hart. David was employed by the City of Kirkwood and the City of Monmouth as a Water and Sewer Supervisor. From 1973-1984, he owned and maintained Dave's Standard Service in Kirkwood, Illinois. Lastly, he worked at Pioneer Hybrid in Good Hope, Illinois. David was a member and Past Master of A. Lincoln Masonic Lodge #518 in Kirkwood, IL, member of the Scottish Rite, Moline, IL, assistant Boy Scout Leader in Kirkwood, IL, and former member of the Blackhawk Water Utilities Association, Lions Club in Kirkwood, and the Elks Club in Monmouth. David enjoyed computers, airplanes, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Monmouth, IL, two daughters, Tracy Smith of Monmouth, IL and Janet Damewood of Roseville, IL, one son, John (Julie) Foreman of Maryland, one step-daughter, Jenny Lodwick of Oak Hill, IL, and one step-son, Joseph Lodwick of Abingdon, IL. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Diane Kane and Carol Millard, and three brothers, Paul, Jim, and Jack Foreman. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 P.M. prior to the service. A Masonic Service is planned at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded after the service. A memorial fund is being established for the family.
