David Hotchkiss

David W. Hotchkiss, age 49, of Monmouth, passed away at his residence at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008. He was born on January 4, 1959 in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Charles M. and Anna Mae Watts Hotchkiss. David was reared and educated in the Roseville area. He married Melissa Giles in Monmouth. David worked in the construction business and did roofing and electrical work. He loved Harley's and riding Harley's. David loved fishing and the out-of-doors. He loved spending with his grandchildren and family. He is survived by one daughter Miriah Hotchkiss of Monmouth and one son Justin Hotchkiss of Monmouth, his mother Anna Honsman of Kewanee, three grandchildren, seven sisters, Jessica Johnson of Kewanee, Rebecca Dukeman of Columbus, Ohio, Stella Jordon of Texas, Donna Davidron of Clumbus, Ann Harrison of Quincy, Illinois, Vickie Wicks of Galesburg, Illinois, and Susan Berg of Monmouth. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Bianca Robb, Shyvon Bates, Rhamya Davis all of Monmouth, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Charles A. Hotchkiss. Cremation has been accorded. Services:Cremation has been accorded. A gathering of family and friends to remember David will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2008, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth.
