David R. Tate

David Russell Tate, 81, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 11:02 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2026 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

David was born December 31, 1944, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of William Edley and Evelyn Margaret (Mortenson) Tate. He worked as a tool and die maker in Chicago, the Quad Cities, and Galesburg, most notably working at M&W Quality Tool and Die.

He enjoyed golfing and woodworking and las a longtime member of AA.

David is survived by two nieces; two nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
