David A. Toops

David A. Toops, age 62, of Monmouth, Ill.; passed away at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the Marigold Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Galesburg with his daughters by his side. David was born December 3, 1947 in Monmouth, the son of Weldon E. and Florence A. Day Toops. He graduated from Yorkwood High School in 1965. David married Donna Boone on January 14, 1967 in Little York, Ill. David is survived by two daughters; Cris Taylor (Dave Moore) and Becki (Todd) Clayton both of Galesburg, Ill. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Jacob Taylor, Lauren Taylor, Lucas Clayton, Hannah Clayton, and Sarah Clayton, all of Galesburg and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services:David's family will be present from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. A Private interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.
