Dennis C. Coover

Dennis C. Coover, age 69, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 1:39 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2021 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. He was born August 22, 1951 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Junior C. and Helen M. (Craig) Coover. Dennis attended school in the area and graduated from Union High School with the Class of 1969. He was a marine surveyor with Unicon International in Seattle, Washington for a number of years. With the nature of his job, Dennis traveled the world and always enjoyed his adventures. Dennis loved his family, friends, a cold beer, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carole McIntire and Vicky Oaks.
As were his wishes, cremation is accorded. No services are currently planned. A memorial is being established for the Oquawka Ambulance Service.
