SHEAR, DESSA IRENE of Rochester Hills; March 21, 2006; age 79; born September 24, 1926 in Wataga IL; Daughter of Myrtle Thompson and the late Leo Trout; step-daughter of the late Clyde Thompson; wife of the late Robert W.; mother of Douglas Shear (Debra), Mark Shear (Susanne) and Rodney Shear (Kora); grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 2; also survived by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Mrs. Shear was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, she enjoyed playing bridge and traveled all over the world with the Nomads. A Celebration of Dessa's Life will be held Saturday, March 25, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home in Galesburg, IL. Interment Altona Cemetery, Altona, IL. The family will receive friends at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, 5391 Highland Rd. (M59), Waterford, Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
