Diane L. Tarr

Diane L. Tarr, age 59, of Monmouth, passed away at 5:07 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Ill. She was born on November 14, 1951 in Monmouth, Ill., the daughter of Lawrence A. and Helen Brownlee Millard. She was reared and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School. Diane first married John Tarr in 1969. She later married Pat Collins. Diane worked for a time at Admiral's in Galesburg. She later worked at Wilson Foods in Monmouth. She loved her cat "Spooky". She enjoyed going to yard sales, cooking, and going to the boat. Diane is survived by her two children; Shawn Sproston (Doug) of Aledo, Ill., and Jamie Tarr of Aledo, Ill. Two grandchildren; Felicia Shultz and Tory Shultz, two great grandchildren; Briley Barr and Dominic Wade. Also surviving are two sisters; Peggy Schisler (Jr) of Monmouth, Bonnie Bell (Lewis) of East Galesburg, and one brother Richard Millard of rural Monmouth. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers. Services:Cremation has been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Oak Terrace Community Room in Monmouth. A memorial fund has been established.
