Dolores F. LeClere, age 76, of Monmouth; passed away at Monmouth Nursing Home on December 7, 2007 at 10:33 pm. Dolores was born on August 12, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Minnie Roseland Hilbert. She was reared and educated near DeWitt, Iowa, and graduated from Lisbon High School. She then attended Mary Crest College in Clinton, Iowa where she received her teacher's certification. Dolores married Harlen F.LeClere on May 25, 1955 in Grand Mound, Iowa. Dolores first taught school in the rural schools near Lisbon, Iowa and then taught in Hopkinton, Iowa, teaching kindergarten and first grades. They later moved to Augusta, Wisconsin where she raised her family and worked as Dietary Cook in several nursing homes for eight years. Lastly she was a dietary cook at Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth for fifteen years before retiring. Dolores is a life member of the VFW Auxillary in Monmouth. She loved to play cards and bingo as well as go fishing. Surviving Dolores are her husband Harlen F.LeClere of Monmouth, two daughters, Deanna Thornton and Mark of Monmouth and Kimberly Lowell and Roger of Guttenberg, Iowa and one son, Paul LeClere and YongMi of Augusta, Wisconsin. Five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren Sister Donna Rae DeShaw and Francis of Elkader, Iowa Half Brother Roger Schmitt of DesMoines, Iowa And Sister in Law Marie Hilbert of Grand Mound, Iowa Services:Cremation has been accorded. No visitation or funeral service is planned at the present. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
