Donald F. Hathaway

Donald F. Hathaway, aged 70, passed away at 7:25 am on Friday, May 17, 2013 at his residence in Oquawka, Illinois. He was born on February 23, 1943 in Kirkwood, Illinois, and is the son of John and Eva Marie (Hathaway) Hoskins. He was previously married to Paula Lnenicka. Don served for a time in the Air Force. He was self-employed in construction in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Tipton, Iowa areas. He also worked as a farmhand around the area for a number of years. Don enjoyed mushrooming, fishing, Facebook, and "Pogo". Donald is a member of the Eagles Club in Oquawka, Illinois.. He is survived by his mother, Eva Hoskins of Biggsville, Illinois and two daughters, Stacy and Stephanie from Texas. Don's brother, John Junior Hoskins of Biggsville, Illinois; and three sisters, Carol Ann Nelson of Ottawa, KS, Judy Kay Meyers of Salem, Iowa, and Eva Joan Scanlan of Keokuk, Iowa are also surviving. A number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. He is preceded in death by his father, his step-father Donald Jr., a brother Randy Joe Hoskins, and one infant sister. Services:Services are planned for Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. A visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 pm prior to the service. Cremation will be accorded after the services. A memorial fund is being established by the family.
