Donna Jo Becker

Donna Jo Becker, age 63, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 1:57 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her residence. She was born October 17, 1960 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of Irvin Eugene and Gladys Loretta (Thomas) Sage. Donna was a graduated from Monmouth High School and later Carl Sandburg College with a Associates Degree in Business.

Donna first enlisted in the United States Army. She then enlisted in the United States Navy and between the two, served her Country for 13 years. For a time, she worked in the photography studio at J.C. Penny. Donna most loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog Tyson.

Donna is survived by three grandchildren; Brooke Ledbetter, Kaitlyn Ledbetter, and Anthony Becker, one brother, Richard (Linda) Sage of Aledo, Illinois, and one cousin; Terri Sage of Monmouth, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Nancy Wheeler, Sharon Bishop, Diane Chewning, Cindy Brant, Linda Thompson, and Allen Sage.

As were Donna's wishes, cremation is being accorded. Her family plans a Celebration of Her Life from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday September 22, 2024 at the Warren County Farm Bureau Building in Monmouth, Illinois. Military Honors will be presented at the Farm Bureau at 1:30 pm. A memorial fund in her memory is being established for the Honor Guard of the Marion B. Fletcher Post 136 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of her care.
