Donnalea L. Salaway

Donnalea Salaway, age 63, of Monmouth, Ill. passed away at 12:38 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009, at Roseville Country Manor, Roseville, Ill. Donna was born June 2, 1946, in Monmouth, the daughter of Abe W. and Elizabeth Hanley Skivers. Donna was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth Public Schools. Donna was previous married to Richard B. Wasson. He prceded her in October 1990. She then married Gerald R. Salaway in 1991 in Burlington, Iowa. He passed on May 22, 1997. Donna was a homemaker. For 10 years she was employed at Glastex in Monmouth. For a time she was employed at Weir Fruit Farm in Biggsville, Ill. She was a member of Monmouth Eagles Aeries. She is survived by her nephew Steve (Linda) Ricketts, of Vici Oklahoma and one brother Delbert (Donna) Skivers of Monmouth and her companion Earl McLaughlin of Monmouth. Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands, 2 brothers, Ken and Abe. Services:Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service and interment of her ashes will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009 in the Monmouth Cemetery. Turnbull Funeral Hom ein Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
