Doris M. Davis

Doris M. Davis, age 88, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at the Care Center of Abingdon. Doris was born January 1, 1920, in Ponemah, Illinois. the daughter of Edgar L. and Nellie Jones Pratt. She was reared and educated in the Prairie City, Illinois and Raritan, Illinois area. Doris married Harlan L. Davis, Sr. July 22, 1939 in Burlington, Iowa and later married Robert Bush on January 26, 1967 in Palmyra, Missouri. Doris was homemaker. She first was employed as a seamstress at Formfit Company of Monmouth. She then was a trash hauler in the area for a time. She then was in housekeeping at Monmouth Hospital and lastly at worked at Glastex Boat Factory. Doris loved fishing, hunting, nature and animals. She is survived by Harlan L. Davis, Jr. and Barbara of Roseville, and one sister, Bonnie Briggs of Galesburg, Illinois. Also surviving are five nieces and one nephew and a number of other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son Jack and a number of brothers and sisters. Services:A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Illinois. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery, Monmouth. The family will be present to receive friends at Turnbull's on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. A memorial fund is being established by her family
