Dorothy Lucille Boulton

Dorothy Lucille Boulton, age 87, of Knoxville, Illinois, passed away at 4:11 P.M. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Heartland Health Care in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born on May 1, 1930 in Buffalo, MO, the daughter of Verley and Lora (Hilldebrand) Nunn. Lucille was raised in the Biggsville, Illinois area, where she attended grade school and high school. On September 4, 1948, she married Paul H. Boulton and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1984. Lucille work as a dietician at Carthage Memorial Hospital and she retired from there. She was a longtime resident of Carthage, Illinois. Lucille enjoyed being a member of the Red Hatter's, the Carthage Community Center, and she also enjoyed gardening. Lucille is survived by one daughter, Karen (Stan West) Johnson of Knoxville, IL, one sister, Loramae (Dean) Moehn of Burlington, IA, one brother, Jim (Betty) Nunn of Pueblo, CO, three grandchildren; Diana (Andy Burhop) Bragg of Burlington, IA, Kendra (Jamey McCabe) Keeney of Cary, IL, and Shane (Megan) Johnson of Groveland, IL. There are five great-grandchildren also surviving. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, daughter Diane Cross, brother Paul Ray Nunn, and grandson Rodney Ray. Graveside Funeral Service A graveside funeral service is planned for 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Biggsville Township Cemetery in Biggsville, Illinois. Memorials are being established for Harbor Light Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
