Dorothy C. Crandall, age 72, of Monmouth, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Monmouth Nursing Home. Dorothy was born on May 28, 1935 in the home of her parents, Paul and Loma Spence Brown, in the Roseville Township. She was reared and educated in the Roseville area, and graduated from Roseville High School. She also attended beauty school. Dorothy married Roy Parker Crandall on July 24, 1957, in Macomb, Illinois, he preceded her in death on January 13, 1966. Dorothy worked at Western Stoneware for twenty five years in packaging. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving Dorothy are three sons; Frank Crandall and Ronda of Monmouth, Charles Crandall and Mary of Monmouth, and Ronald Crandall and Marcy of Monmouth, two sisters; Lola McVey of Galesburg, Illinois, Martha Johnson of Farmington, Illinois, two brothers; Cecil Brown and Pat of Raritan, Illinois, and Lyle Brown and Sandra of Alexis, Illinois. Also surviving is sister-in-law, Alice Brown of Hersey, Illinois, Granddaughters; Brittany, Jenna, Randi Sue, and Karren. Grandsons; David, BJ, Bobby, and Great two great grandchildren; Jersey and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Nina, and five brothers; Virgil, Dale, Edgar, and infants John and Leonard. Services:A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday morning at Turnbulls in Monmouth. A memorial fund will be designated at a later date.
