Elizabeth " Liz " Reimolds

Elizabeth "Liz" Reimolds, age 82, of Monmouth; passed away at 6:35 pm on July 21st, at the home of her son in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born on November 19, 1927 in Mammoth Cave, KY, the daughter of "Bud" and Carrie Holton Davis. She was raised in Monmouth and attended Monmouth schools. She married Elmer L.Reimolds on June 10, 1950 in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her on May 6, 2004. She first was employed at Monmouth Nursing Home as a Nurses Aid . She then worked a number of years Agar and then Wilson Foods pork processor here in Monmouth. "Liz" also volunteered at Jamieson Center for many years. "Liz" was a devoted homemaker, loved gardening, canning fruits and vegetables as well as playing cards with family and friends. Surviving are two sons Randy L. (Angela) Reimolds , David Bruce Reimolds , two daughters Rhonda Birditt and Vicki (Jeffrey) Birditt all of Monmouth, Il. Fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren are surviving. Also surviving are four sisters Lorraine Quayle (Jim) in California; Geneva Gott of Davenport, Iowa; Doris McGuire in Florida; and Jean Tagg of Davenport, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine brothers and sisters, one daughter Cindy and a granddaughter Christy. Services:A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 26, 2010 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Her family plans to receive friends for the hour prior to the service, 10:00 am to 11:00. Interment will be in the Monmouth Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established for Jamieson Center.
